Do you love Brooklyn? Do you love food? If you answered yes to either question then you have to go to Smorgasburg this weekend!
Dubbed the “The Woodstock of Eating” by the New York Times, Smorgasburg is the largest weekly open-air food market in America. I have the pleasure of living a few steps from the Prospect Park location (Sundays, 11am-6pm) and can attest that the quality and diversity of its food is hard to find anywhere else… aside from the Williamsburg location (Saturdays, 11am-6pm).
Smorgasburg runs every weekend, rain or shine, at Williamsburg’s East River Park (Kent Ave and North 7th Street) on Saturdays and at Prospect Park’s Breeze Hill (East Drive at Lincoln Rd.) on Sundays, April through November, from 11-6.
With over 100 delicious local vendors, it’s no wonder why tens of thousands of people attend each weekend! And did I mention they have booze??
